1. Who We Are

Grimm Bot is an independent fan project by Dagamant. It is not affiliated with Creature Curation or Discord Inc.

2. What Data We Collect

When you use the Bot or log in to this website we store:

Discord user ID — used to identify you and associate you with your characters.
Discord username — displayed in the web interface while you are logged in. Not stored persistently.
Discord guild (server) ID — used to scope your characters to the server they were created in.
Character data — everything you create with /create and subsequently update: name, class, stats, inventory, credits, and background text.

We do not collect email addresses, passwords, or payment information.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate the Bot — storing and retrieving your character sheets on request. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or analytics.

4. Discord OAuth2

When you log in to this website we use Discord's OAuth2 flow with the identify scope. This grants us a temporary access token to read your Discord user ID and username. We do not receive your email address or access your messages.

5. Data Storage

Character data is stored in JSON files on the Bot's server. The web session is stored in a signed cookie in your browser and expires when you log out or close the browser.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your character data persists until you delete it using /delete in Discord or the Delete button on the web interface. If you would like all your data removed, contact us via the Bot's Discord server.

7. Third Parties

We use Discord for authentication. No other third-party services receive your data.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated at any time. The date at the top of the page will reflect the most recent revision.
